| Car Description | ||||||
The Bugatti 18/3 "Chiron" has been designed as a mid-engine racing car with an 18-cylinder engine, developed by Volkswagen. The engine is a further development of the front engine design as seen in the Bugatti EB 218. This new direct injection engine has a displacement of 6.3 litres, a power output of 408 kW / 555 bhp and a maximum torque of 650 Newton metres. The concept car body is 1150 mm in height and 4420 mm in length. It is made of carbon fibre and has the colour "Blú Côte d'Azur" . Good traction is ensured by permanent four-wheel drive and 20-inch wheels. The front wheels are shod with 265/30 tyres, and the rear wheels boast 335/30 tyres. A rear spoiler, which is raised automatically in three stages, reduces the lift on the rear axle. The potential maximum speed of considerably over 300 km/h does justice to the Bugatti marque. The manual gearbox has an open gate. |
